The World’s Most Famous Fictional Resident of Africa Turned 100 in 2012
Author Scott Tracy Griffin Swings Through The Hollywood Jungle and Drops In To Larry Edmunds Bookshop To Tell Fans About His New Book
Tarzan is 100 years old, although he still looks pretty muscular. To celebrate this event, Scott Tracy Griffin and the good folks at Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc. have issued a centennial book on Tarzan that is the greatest book a fan could ever wish for. Not only is the large over-size book well researched and well written by long-time fan Tracy Griffin, but it’s over 300 pages are packed with color illustrations of the finest artwork on Tarzan and his books, magazine covers, movies, television shows and much more (see more detailed book review on elsewhere on this blog).
Last Wesdnesday night, January 30, 2013, Tracy Griffin paid a visit to famous Hollywood Boulevard bookshop Larry Edmunds. Tracy brought with him a wonderful collection of slides showing some of the illustrations for his book, answered questions, and gave the audience of fans, filmmakers, and avid readers a mountain of information on Edgar Rice Burroughs and his famous creation. If you didn’t make it to the event but want to know how Tarzan got his name and a lot of other stories about the Jungle Man, then you can watch the whole event by clicking on the window below.
